HER STORY…
Aldona comes from a long family history of a talented hairstylists. Her mom was a hairdresser and her grandmother was a hairdresser as well, but Aldona initially had a different plans for her life. She graduated with a master’s degree at AGH University of Science and Technology in Poland, faculty of marketing and management. During her studies, her mom needed some help with running her salon. Being there she began to learn the profession of a hairdresser and slowly started working as a hairdresser. And that’s the beginning of a beautiful story….
Aldona’s mom gave her that foundation and shared her passion to hairdressing. After finishing beauty school in Poland, Aldona moved to Chicago, where she decided to continue working with hair and finished cosmetology school. After working in a few Polish hair salons, then being independent hairstylist for 12 years, Aldona decided to take her career to the next level…
She started working at Sugar Hair Salon in Arlington Heights as a hairstylist and salon manager. And this is where she realized that hairdressing is not just her profession, but first of all is her passion… 2019, was the year which brought a major change in her professional career. Aldona decided to broaden her skills and applied for an extensive training offered by Matrix.
” From over 200 applications for the Matrix Artist in Training Program, I was one of 50 selected. This means that I have demonstrated the skills, presence and passion necessary to become a great Artist with Matrix and Biolage. I can’t wait to inspire stylist and salon owners to capture their dreams and create beauty.”
This program is giving Aldona in-depth training for working with different types of hair, color techniques, color chemistry, styling, hair care, but also professional and personal growth. Since she started the program, her knowledge has been deepened so much that she became one of the most popular hairstylists in Chicago area. She is the hairdresser, who not only will create the color, haircut or style you dream of, but also a person who is your friend and your inspiration, a person who always approaches her clients with a her own unique “friendly professionalism”.
After many trainings and seminars, Aldona started sharing her knowledge with other stylists during classes hosted in Salon Centric locations in Illinois and Michigan. Her passion and dedication brought for her another big achievement. In August 2022 Aldona became Level 2 Matrix Artist. She proudly says:
“If you dream it, you can do it! It all starts there. I remember watching Matrix artists on the big stages and thinking ‘I wish I could be there one day’. Well, my stages are not huge yet, but they will be. And then I’ll be able to share my passion with even more amazing stylists. I hope that one day I’ll hear that I inspired someone to reach for the stars and that they did what they thought will be impossible.”
